Job summary

Longboards Laidback Eatery and Bar in Surfers Paradise is seeking a skilled Chef to join our dynamic team. You will assist the Head Chef, prepare and cook high-quality dishes, and help develop new menu items in a fast-paced, friendly kitchen.

We offer a competitive salary of $79,500 per year plus super, ongoing training and development opportunities, and employee discounts on food and beverages in a supportive, inclusive work environment at a vibrant location.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Formal culinary training and chef qualifications.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensure smooth service.
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes per menu and standards.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials.
• Maintain inventory and rotate stock appropriately.
• Assist in ordering and receiving supplies.
• Keep the kitchen clean and well organized.
