Job summary

Curry Resort Dalby, operated by MAROK PTY LTD, is seeking a qualified Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis in Dalby, Queensland. You will prepare and cook a range of Indian dishes, supervise daily kitchen operations, and help with menu planning and development.

The role requires at least one year of experience, a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, strong food safety knowledge, and excellent teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant experience as a Chef.
• Knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and food safety requirements.
• Ability to plan and organise kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, including curries, biryani, appetizers, sauces and other restaurant specialties.
• Assist with menu planning, recipe development and daily specials.
• Monitor food quality, flavour, portion sizes and presentation while controlling costs and minimising wastage.
• Coordinate kitchen activities, guide kitchen staff, and maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Marok Pty Ltd We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, coordinating kitchen operations, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and assisting with menu planning and development.

Prepare and cook a variety of Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, including curries, biryani, appetisers, sauces and other restaurant specialities.

Assist with menu planning, recipe development and the preparation of daily specials. Monitor food quality, flavour, portion sizes and presentation while controlling food costs and minimising wastage. Manage stock levels, estimate ingredient requirements and ensure appropriate food storage and rotation.

Coordinate kitchen activities, guide kitchen staff where required, and maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards. Qualification & experience Minimum one year of relevant experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent relevant qualification.

Experience preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes. Knowledge of commercial cooking techniques, kitchen equipment and food safety requirements. Ability to organise kitchen operations and maintain food quality during busy service periods.

Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
