Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited in Victoria is seeking a Casual Chef to join the Bundoora site. You will prepare, cook and serve meals and help maintain food safety and cleaning standards. This role suits someone close to the Melbourne area who enjoys delivering quality service.

You will work Monday and Friday shifts with opportunities for extra shifts. For casual employees, there is a base hourly rate with loading and superannuation, and you’ll contribute to providing excellent meals for residents.

Qualifications

• Proximity to this worksite in the Melbourne suburb of Bundoora.
• Knowledge of food hygiene & workplace health & safety protocols.
• NPC Police Check holder or willingness to obtain.
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery.

• Prepare, cook and serve meals at this Bundoora site.
• Apply catering control principles; food safety, waste minimisation and cleaning.
• Responsible for maintaining food safety documents.
• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests.
• Monday shift and Friday shift each week, with the option to pick up extra shifts.

THE POSITION

• Prepare, cook and serve meals at this Bundoora site
• Apply catering control principles; food safety, waste minimisation and cleaning
• Responsible for maintaining food safety documents
• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
• Monday shift and Friday shift each week, with the option to pick up extra shifts

THE PERSON

• Proximity to this worksite in the Melbourne suburb of Bundoora
• Knowledge of food hygiene & workplace health & safety protocols
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or another Chef qualification)
• NPC Police Check holder (or be willing to obtain a police check)
