Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking a Head Chef for a part-time permanent position in Doncaster, VIC. The role focuses on overseeing on-site a la carte dining, stock control, budgeting, rostering, mentoring and training staff, and liaising with clients and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Cert. III in Commercial Cookery, kitchen management experience, and knowledge of HACCP, food safety and infection control. A police check is required or must be obtainable.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum requirement).
• Previous kitchen management experience in a similar role.
• Experience with HACCP, food safety and infection control.
• Police Check holder or willing to obtain check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the a la carte dining onsite on a part-time basis.
• Manage stock, budgets, rostering, and staff mentoring/training.
• Liaise with the client and other key stakeholders.
• Create and maintain nutritional menus focused on healthy eating.

• Responsible for stock control, budgets, rostering, staff mentoring, training
• Liaise with the client and other key stakeholders
• Create and maintain nutritional menus with a focus on healthy eating

The Person

• Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
• Previous kitchen management experience in a similar role
