Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking a Charge Up Operator to join the underground crew at Agnew on a FIFO from Perth roster. You will charge development and production blasts, handle and transport explosives, and maintain firing lines in strict safety standards.

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, you will contribute to blast readiness and work within a high-performing team. WA Shotfirer licensing and safety credentials are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience required, especially charging up or service crew exposure.
• Experience with emulsion and ANFO blasting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Commitment to safety and a proactive attitude.
• Able to work in a physically demanding underground environment.
• WA Shotfirer's license or willingness to obtain.
• Valid manual C Class Driver's Licence.
• WA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights.

The Opportunity

As a Charge Up Operator, you'll be responsible for charging development and production blasts, handling and transporting explosives, maintaining underground firing lines and carrying out shot-firing duties to strict compliance and safety standards.

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, you'll join a high-performing crew that plays a vital role in underground blast readiness.

Skills & Qualifications

• Substantial underground mining experience (Charge Up or Service crew exposure highly regarded, as well as use of emulsion and ANFO in blasting)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• A proactive attitude with a commitment to working safely
• Able to work effectively in a team in a physically demanding underground environment
• WA Shotfirer's license (or willing to obtain)
• Valid manual C Class Driver's Licence
