Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking a Charge Up Operator to join the underground production crew at Agnew. You will be responsible for charging development and production blasts, handling explosives, and maintaining firing lines to strict safety standards.

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, you’ll work FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 days and 7/7 nights rotating roster, contribute to blast readiness, and uphold safety and housekeeping across the underground site.

Qualifications

• Substantial underground mining experience with charge up or service crew exposure.
• Experience with emulsion and ANFO blasting is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• A proactive safety-focused mindset and teamwork in demanding environments.
• WA Shotfirer’s license (or willingness to obtain).
• WA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights.
• Valid manual C Class Driver’s Licence.

• Charging development and production rounds
• Safely handling and transporting explosives in line with regulations
• Tying up and preparing blasts safely and accurately
• Conducting pre and post-blast inspections
• Maintaining equipment and reporting issues
• Working collaboratively with underground crew and maintaining safety standards
