Responsibilities

• Charge development and production headings in line with mine plans
• Conduct safe and efficient underground blasting activities
• Handle, transport, and store explosives in accordance with site procedures
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑blasting inspections
• Maintain accurate blast records and reporting
• Work closely with Jumbo operators and production crews
• Ensure compliance with safety systems and statutory requirements
• Identify and report hazards, incidents, and non‑conformances
• Maintain high housekeeping standards underground

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Underground Charge Up Operator / Shotfirer
• Experience in development and production charging
• Current WA Shotfirer Licence (essential)
• Dangerous Goods Licence (preferred)
• Strong understanding of underground blasting procedures
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work FIFO roster
