Job summary

The Y Canberra Region invites applications for an educator at Belconnen Early Learning Centre. A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is mandatory and staff are supported to grow within a values-driven community focused on safety and inclusion.

Applicants must be available 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday (76 hours per fortnight), hold a current WWVP, and be prepared to complete required Y training and safeguarding courses prior to commencement.

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Availability between 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday on a full-time basis (76 hours per fortnight) is mandatory.
• Current Paid ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration is mandatory.
• Do Food Safely certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Completion of all required Y Mandatory Internal Training and organisational online learning modules prior to commencement.
• Geccko Foundations of Child Safety Training Courses 1 & 2, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Geccko Advanced Child Safety Training Courses 3 & 4, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• ACT Government Keeping Children and Young People Safe training, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
