Job summary

The Y Canberra Region is seeking passionate early childhood educators for Strathnairn ELC. The role requires a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and availability 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday. You must have WWVP and be willing to obtain Food Safety, First Aid/CPR, and safeguarding training.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is mandatory.
• Availability between 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday on a full-time basis (76 hours per fortnight) is mandatory.
• Current Paid ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration is mandatory.
• Food Safety certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Completion of required Y Mandatory Internal Training and online learning modules prior to commencement.
• Geccko Foundations of Child Safety Training Courses 1 & 2, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Geccko Advanced Child Safety Training Courses 3 & 4, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• ACT Government Keeping Children and Young People Safe training, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
