Job summary

Vicinity Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our shopping centre, ensuring safety, compliance, and presentation while supporting staff, contractors, retailers, and customers. You will manage security, maintenance, and emergency preparedness, and foster a positive environment across the team.

• Experience leading an operations team in a retail or asset management environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and risk management requirements.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and service contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing operations team through regular reviews and coaching.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the shopping centre to ensure safety and presentation.
• Manage service contracts including cleaning, security, HVAC, fire services, and vertical transport.
• Conduct contractor performance reviews and manage service KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, Australian Standards, and company procedures.
• Coordinate emergency management procedures and safety systems.
• Build relationships with retailers, contractors, emergency services, and local council.
• Support tenancy delivery and store openings; collaborate with national operations teams on initiatives.
