Job summary

Vicinity Centres is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our shopping centre in Victoria. You will ensure safety, compliance and presentation while supporting staff, contractors, retailers and customers.

You will oversee security, maintenance, and emergency preparedness, manage budgets, stakeholder relationships, and drive an excellent customer experience. Weekend and late shift requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing operations team through regular 1:1 meetings, development conversations, and performance reviews
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the centre to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-presented environment
• Manage key service contracts including cleaning, security, HVAC, fire services, and vertical transport
• Maintain compliance with legislative requirements, Australian Standards, and company procedures
• Coordinate emergency management procedures and safety systems
• Build strong relationships with retailers, contractors, emergency services, local council, and internal teams
• Support tenancy delivery and store openings in collaboration with the centre and national teams
• Monitor operating costs and assist in preparing financial and operational reports for senior management
