Job summary

Journey Early Learning Fernvale is seeking an experienced Centre Manager to lead operations, educational quality and team performance in a safe, welcoming environment. You will oversee staffing, budgets and occupancy while guiding high-quality programs aligned with EYLF and NQS.

You’ll drive continuous improvement, prepare for Assessments, and build strong relationships with children, families and the local community within a supportive leadership network.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of NQF, NQS and EYLF frameworks.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing educators and leadership teams.
• Confidence managing operations, staffing, occupancy, budgets and performance.
• Experience with Assessment and Rating, QIP and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, accountable leadership and decision-making.
• Commitment to child safety, inclusion and high-quality early learning.
• Valid Queensland Blue Card or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of Early Childhood professionals.
• Overseeing daily centre operations, staffing, budgets and occupancy.
• Driving high-quality educational programs aligned with EYLF.
• Leading preparation for Assessment and Rating and supporting QIP outcomes.
• Maintaining compliance with NQF, regulations and child safety requirements.
• Building strong relationships with children, families and the community.
• Monitoring centre performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Partnering with Journey's support teams to achieve quality and operational outcomes.
