Job summary

Cooma School for Early Learning in Cooma NSW is seeking an experienced Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor to lead our 81-place early learning service. You will oversee daily operations, guide a dedicated team of educators and ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and regulations, always placing the safety and development of children first.

The ideal candidate brings senior leadership experience in early childhood, ACECQA qualifications, and a proven ability to build strong

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education.
• Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Law and National Regulations.
• Commitment to child safety, children's rights and National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
• Experience leading and coaching educators to maintain high professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading, supporting and developing a team of early childhood educators.
• Promoting and embedding a strong child-safe culture throughout the service.
• Ensuring safety, rights and best interests of children are the paramount consideration.
• Ensuring the service meets obligations under the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.
• Supporting and maintaining high-quality educational programs and practice.
• Building strong relationships with children, families, educators and the local community.
• Managing day-to-day centre operations.
• Supporting continuous improvement through SAT and Quality Improvement Plan and ongoing reflection.
• Creating a positive, professional and accountable workplace culture.
• Supporting staff to understand and meet child protection and mandatory reporting obligations.
• Managing concerns, complaints and incidents appropriately.
• Supporting child-safe recruitment, induction and ongoing employment practices.
• Collaborating with management on ongoing growth and success.
