Job summary

Edge Early Learning is seeking an experienced Centre Director to lead a close-knit team at our Peregian Springs centre. You will drive vision, culture, recruitment, budgeting and safety compliance in a buzzing early learning environment.

You will oversee rostering, coaching, and continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory standards (NQS, EYLF, QKLG) are met. This role requires leadership and a passion for high-quality early education in Australia.

Qualifications

• Proven Experience as a Centre Director or similar leadership role.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Graduate Diploma/Masters of Teaching with relevant educator experience in Australia.
• Working with Children Check is mandatory.
• National Child Safety Training (GECCKO) Foundations & Advanced is mandatory.
• RRHAN Fundamentals & Masterclass (SA) is mandatory.
• Training to respond to child abuse and neglect (ACT).
• First Aid & CPR Certificate(s) mandatory.
• Asthma Management Certificate.

Your Role as Centre Director:

As the Centre Director, you'll be at the heart of our centre's success. You will:

• Lead with Vision: Inspire and drive creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement to enhance our services.
• Cultivate a Positive Culture: Foster a supportive and collaborative environment where team members can thrive.
• Recruitment & Succession Planning: Attract, develop, and retain top talent while planning for the future leadership of your centre.
• Manage Agency Spend: Oversee budgets and agency costs to ensure financial sustainability.
• Ensure Compliance & Safety: Stay ahead of industry regulations, ensuring that our centre remains fully compliant with NQS, EYLF, and QKLG standards.
• Effective Rostering: Optimise staffing through strategic rostering, ensuring the right people are in the right places.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor your team, empowering them to reach their full potential.

3. Our centres operate extended hours. Whilst we do our best to be flexible, candidates must be available to work opening shifts, closing shifts, or both. We are unable to accommodate school-hours-only availability.

What we're looking for:

• Proven Experience as a Centre Director and experience in a similar Leadership capacity
• Completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  OR Graduate Diploma / Masters of Teaching with a minimum 2-3 years’ Educator experience in a long day care setting within Australia
• Working with Children Check, mandatory
• National Child Safety Training (GECCKO), mandatory
