Job summary

Edge Early Learning in Peregian Springs, QLD, is seeking a Centre Director to lead our team with warmth and vision. You will inspire innovation, foster a positive culture, recruit and mentor staff, manage budgets, and ensure NQS, EYLF, and QKLG compliance.

This role requires Diploma in ECE or Graduate Diploma/Masters with 2–3 years of educator experience in long day care in Australia, Working with Children Check, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven Experience as a Centre Director and leadership experience.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Graduate Diploma/Masters of Teaching with relevant educator experience in long day care in Australia.

Your Role as Centre Director:As the Centre Director, you'll be at the heart of our centre's success. You will:

• Lead with Vision:Inspire and drive creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement to enhance our services.
• Cultivate a Positive Culture:Foster a supportive and collaborative environment where team members can thrive.
• Recruitment & Succession Planning:Attract, develop, and retain top talent while planning for the future leadership of your centre.
• Manage Agency Spend:Oversee budgets and agency costs to ensure financial sustainability.
• Ensure Compliance & Safety:Stay ahead of industry regulations, ensuring that our centre remains fully compliant with NQS, EYLF, and QKLG standards.
• Effective Rostering:Optimise staffing through strategic rostering, ensuring the right people are in the right places.
• Mentorship:Guide and mentor your team, empowering them to reach their full potential.

3. Our centres operate extended hours. Whilst we do our best to be flexible, candidates must be available to work opening shifts, closing shifts, or both. We are unable to accommodate school-hours-only availability.

What we're looking for:

• Proven Experience as a Centre Director and experience in a similar Leadership capacity
• Completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and CareOR Graduate Diploma / Masters of Teaching with a minimum 2–3 years’ Educator experience in a long day care setting within Australia
• Working with Children Check, mandatory
• National Child Safety Training (GECCKO), mandatory
