Job summary

Edge Early Learning in Tinana, QLD is seeking a Lead Educator to guide and mentor a team of educators while designing high-quality, culturally responsive learning experiences for young children. You will lead programs, ensure safety, and build strong relationships with families and staff.

The role requires an Early Childhood Qualification (Level 4+), current First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis/Asthma certifications, leadership experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• An Early Childhood Qualification recognized at a Children’s Services Employee Level 4 or higher.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications.
• Substantial professional experience and strong administrative skills, with a knack for time management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and positively with children and adults.
• Proven leadership skills and high self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor: Guide and support educators, promoting professional growth and high standards of care.
• Implement Programs: Develop and evaluate specialized programs that support each child’s unique needs and interests.
• Create a Safe Space: Maintain a safe, hygienic, and engaging environment for children and team members, in line with OHS and Duty of Care standards.
• Build Connections: Cultivate warm relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring every child feels a strong sense of belonging.
• Document Learning: Keep accurate records of each child’s progress and development, aligning with centre policies and national regulations.

About the Role:
