Job summary

Goodstart Waranara is seeking a Centre Cook to prepare healthy meals for children in our Zetland, NSW centre. The role runs 30 hours per week on a part-time schedule, with shifts from 8/8:30am to 2/2:30pm, across five days.

You will ensure meals meet dietary requirements, plan menus in collaboration with the Centre Director, and uphold stringent food safety standards to support the wellbeing of the children in our care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals accounting for dietary requirements and allergies.
• Plan menus and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygienic handling.
• Work a part-time roster of 30 hours per week, 8/8.30am to 2/2.30pm.

Pay: $31.36 to $35.44 per hour Plus Super

In This Role, You Will

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
• Work a part-time roster of 30 hours per week, 8/8.30am to 2/2.30pm
