Goodstart Berowra is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare delicious, healthy meals for children in our Berowra centre. You will influence nutritional outcomes and contribute to a supportive community environment.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or relevant childcare cooking experience), a current NSW Working with Children Check, and a National Child Safety Foundation Training certificate (Geccko platform). Expect competitive pay and a benefits package.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies.
• Plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director.
• Maintain high standards of food safety in storage, handling and preparation.
• Work a part-time roster of 30 hours per week, 8/8.30am to 2/2.30pm.

Employment Type: Permanent Part Time: 37.5 hours a week across 5 days – 7.5 hours each day

Pay: $31.36 to $35.44 per hour Plus Super

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies


• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director


• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic


• Work a part-time roster of 30 hours per week, 8/8.30am to 2/2.30pm
