Job summary

Goodstart Mona Vale is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare delicious, healthy meals for children aged at a 79-place centre. You will plan menus, order supplies, and ensure food safety with attention to dietary needs. The role runs 8am–2pm, five days a week, at 2103 NSW.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent childcare kitchen experience.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.

Location: Northern Beaches – Mona Vale – Postcode 2103 NSW

Employment Type: Permanent – Part Time: 27.5 hours a week – 8am to 2pm Monday to Friday

Pay: $31.36 to $35.44 per hour Plus Super

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
• Part Time: 8am to 2pm – five days a week

You’ll need:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
