Goodstart Morningside – Wynnum Rd is seeking a Centre Cook to provide delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies. This permanent part-time role (26.5 hours per week) offers competitive pay and the chance to be a cherished part of our community.

You will plan menus, order supplies in consultation with the Centre Director, and ensure food safety and allergy considerations are respected. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or childcare cooking experience is required, with WWCC

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
• Current Vic Working with Children Check
• Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform

Centre: Goodstart Morningside - Wynnum Rd

Employment Type: Permanent Part Time - 26.5 hours per week

Pay: $31.36 – $35.44 per hour, based on qualification

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role, you will:

Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies

Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director

Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic

Work a part time roster of 26.5 hours per week
