Job summary

Goodstart Mount Pleasant in Mount Pleasant, QLD, is seeking a part-time cook to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for children and contribute to a warm, community-focused early learning centre.

You will ensure meals meet dietary requirements, plan menus with the Centre Director, and maintain high food-safety standards while working a 12.3-hour roster from 9am to 11:30am.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting.
• Current QLD Working with Children Check.
• Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform.

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies.
• Plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director.
• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic.
• Work a part time roster of 12.3 hours per week, 9am - 11:30am.

Education

Pay: $31.36 - $35.44 per hr
