Job summary

Goodstart Mona Vale is seeking a Centre Cook to create delicious, nutritious meals for our 79‑place centre. You’ll plan menus, purchase supplies, and ensure allergen‑aware cooking that meets safety standards.

This part‑time role (8am–2pm, Mon–Fri) offers above‑award wages, a 50% childcare fee discount, PD opportunities, and wellbeing benefits within a supportive team at Goodstart Mona Vale.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies.
• Plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director.
• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic.
• Part Time: 8am to 2pm – five days a week.

Centre: Goodstart Mona Vale

Employment Type: Permanent – Part Time: 27.5 hours a week – 8am to 2pm Monday to Friday

Pay: $31.36 to $35.44 per hour Plus Super

In This Role, You Will

• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
