Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on cellar door experience with sales results.
• Experience with direct sales, wine club management or wholesale outreach.
• Strong knowledge of Australian wine regions and engaging tastings.
• Content creation using a professional camera and basic photo editing.
• Current RSA certificate.
• Physically fit for manual tasks including lifting boxes and vineyard work.
• Excellent written and verbal English and strong customer service.

Shannonvale Tropical Fruit Winery – Mossman QLD

We are seeking a confident retail supervisor with real wine floor experience to lead our cellar door retail operations, drive direct sales and build wholesale relationships. This is a genuine full time position mapped to ANZSCO 621511 Retail Supervisor and will include tasting floor hosting, inventory and stock management, online and wholesale sales and basic marketing content creation. The successful candidate will be expected to work on the floor, deliver tastings, pack wine club orders and help with light production and vineyard tasks when needed.

Key responsibilities:

Run the cellar door tasting floor, deliver high quality guided tastings and convert guests into sales and wine club members.

Oversee daily retail operations including POS reconciliation, packing and dispatch of orders, stock control and inventory management.

Supervise, onboard, and train casual staff during peak periods, including the busy summer season, school holidays, and other high-demand times, ensuring high standards of performance, adherence to company policies, and a seamless operational workflow.

Grow and run wholesale and local trade accounts, process orders and follow up invoicing and deliveries.

Create and publish social media content and basic marketing material to drive cellar door visits and online sales.

Use a DSLR and basic editing tools for content.

Prepare and monitor weekly sales reports and assist with simple forecasting to support business planning.

Open and close cellar door and maintain presentation standards and compliance with RSA requirements.

Support light production and vineyard tasks such as fruit handling, basic cleaning and property maintenance when required.

Provide excellent customer service and represent the brand at local events and trade visits along with the winemaker.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of hands‑on cellar door experience gained within the past five years, with demonstrated tasting‑floor sales results.

Experience with direct sales, wine club management or wholesale outreach.

Strong and practical knowledge of Australian wine regions and ability to lead engaging tastings.

Confident content creation skills with a professional camera and basic photo editing.

Current RSA certificate.

Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks including lifting boxes, unpacking deliveries and occasional vineyard work.

Excellent written and verbal English and strong customer service skills.

Experience with Square, Shopify, or similar POS and booking systems (desirable).

Previous wholesale or account management experience (desirable).
