Seville Estate in the Upper Yarra Valley seeks a DTC Sales Coordinator to grow direct-to-consumer sales across restaurant, cellar door, wine club and online channels.
You will build relationships with customers, promote tastings, manage the wine club, CRM and online store, and collaborate with the restaurant operator to convert visitors into Seville Estate customers.
Established in 1972, Seville Estate is home to some of the oldest vines in the Upper Yarra Valley. Grown in rich red volcanic soils, our award-winning wines reflect a true sense of place. Nestled within a stunning native garden just one hour east of Melbourne, our cellar door and on-site accommodation offer guests an authentic and memorable wine experience.
We are entering an exciting new phase for the business, with a focus on strengthening our wines, building our direct customer base and developing Seville Estate as a destination within the Yarra Valley.
We are looking for a DTC Sales Coordinator to join our small team and play an important role in growing direct sales and building strong relationships with our customers.
The primary focus of this role is to grow direct-to-consumer sales and revenue for Seville Estate. The role will work across our key DTC channels, including the restaurant, Cellar Door, wine club and online sales, with a strong focus on developing customers and generating sales.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with a strong focus on building relationships, identifying sales opportunities and converting customer interest into wine sales. A key initial focus will be working with our restaurant operator to build sales of Seville Estate wines through the restaurant and create opportunities for restaurant customers to become direct Seville Estate customers.
The role will also support cellar door, wine club and online sales, along with the customer communications that support these areas. As part of a small team, there is plenty of scope to make the role your own and develop ideas that help grow the business.
Develop practical opportunities to grow Seville Estate's direct customer and member base.
Drive sales through cellar door, online sales, wine club and direct customer relationships.
Build strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for repeat purchases and new customers.
Follow up sales enquiries and opportunities.
Use customer and sales information to identify opportunities for repeat sales and customer growth.
Work with the restaurant operator to develop ways of actively promoting and selling Seville Estate wines, including tasting opportunities, customer incentives and other initiatives that encourage wine purchases.
Develop opportunities to convert restaurant customers into direct Seville Estate customers through wine purchases, wine club membership and future visits to the estate.
Train restaurant service staff on Seville Estate wines, key selling points and the Seville Estate story to ensure our wines are appropriately presented and promoted.
Support wine club, online sales and follow-up opportunities arising from restaurant and Cellar Door visitation.
Track wine sales and customer conversion from restaurant and cellar door activity.
Organise periodic release tastings, events and other customer experiences.
Help deliver a welcoming, engaging and consistent DTC customer experience at Seville Estate.
Host Cellar Door customers and conduct wine tastings, working alongside the restaurant operator, as required.
Work with the restaurant operator to ensure a consistent and high-quality wine experience for visitors.
Drive wine sales and customer conversion from Cellar Door and property visitation.
Manage sales, POS, stock, packing and despatch.
Manage the day-to-day operation of the wine club.
Communicate with members and help develop offers, events and experiences that encourage retention and repeat sales.
Maintain and develop our customer database and CRM.
Use customer information to support sales and build stronger long-term customer relationships.
Manage the day-to-day online store, including product information, pricing and availability.
Coordinate customer emails around wine releases, events and other key initiatives.
Support social media and content that helps tell the Seville Estate story and drive visitation and sales.
Support the planning, promotion and delivery of events at Seville Estate.
Identify opportunities to bring more visitors to the property and create experiences that encourage people to stay connected with the brand.
Assist with private, corporate and customer events.
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, motivated and enjoys working in a small team. You will be someone who:
Is personable, confident and enjoys talking to people and building relationships.
Is motivated by sales and enjoys achieving results.
Is practical, hands-on and happy to get involved across different parts of the business.
Is organised, reliable and able to take ownership of tasks.
Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
Is comfortable learning new systems and technology, including e-commerce and customer databases.
Is capable of generating marketing budget from the wine sales, instead of asking for funds constantly.
Wine industry experience is not essential for the right person. We will provide training and support to help you develop your product knowledge and confidence. Successful performance will be rewarded with salary increases and a clear pathway to a Sales Manager role.
