Job summary

Ovolo Hotels Group in Brisbane is seeking a skilled CDP Chef to join our kitchen leadership. You will drive quality and consistency, mentor junior chefs, and contribute to high-standard food experiences across our outlets.

With a focus on mise en place, new menu development, and strong WHS practices, you’ll thrive under pressure and bring creativity to every service. A minimum of four years in a CDP/Senior Demi Chef role is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' experience as CDP or Senior Demi Chef.
• Strong focus on mise en place, balance and perfection in every dish.
• Leadership and teamwork to train and develop junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in menu planning, implementation and execution.
• Controlling food preparation and managing wastage for your section.
• Leading by example as a hands-on chef with quality assurance.
• Developing new menus and maintaining high food standards.
• Establishing and maintaining effective employee relationships.
• Bringing creations to life with passion and creativity.
• Introducing new ideas to keep the offering best in the area.
• Applying WHS and food hygiene best practices.
• Leading and training team to perform under pressure.
