Job summary

CCR Services Group Pty Ltd – Melbourne VIC is seeking a CCTV/Security Technician to install, upgrade and service CCTV, security and communications systems across commercial and retail sites.

This night-shift role requires independence as well as teamwork, with travel across Melbourne and regional Victoria. You will interpret job scopes, complete documentation, and ensure high workmanship and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience installing CCTV and electronic security systems.
• Experience with data cabling, terminations and general communications wiring.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently on allocated sites.
• Current Electrical Licence or Security Installer Licence (Mandatory).
• Current EWP / Scissor Lift ticket (Mandatory).
• Current White Card (Mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate and adjust CCTV cameras and equipment.
• Install and terminate data and communications cabling.
• Complete general security, communications and wiring works.
• Carry out fault finding and troubleshooting of CCTV, cabling and related systems.
• Read and work from job scopes, plans and site instructions.
• Identify installation issues or changes to scope and communicate with Supervisor or Project Manager.
• Test completed works and ensure cameras and equipment operate correctly before leaving site.
• Complete required job documentation, photos and reporting accurately.
• Operate scissor lifts and EWPs safely when required.
• Work independently on allocated sites and manage workload effectively.
• Work alongside other technicians and assist other crews to complete scheduled works.
• Communicate professionally with clients, builders, project managers and other contractors on site.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and presentation.
• Travel throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria as required.

As a CCTV / Security Technician with CCR Services Group, you will work across a range of commercial and retail sites throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, completing CCTV, security and communications installations, upgrades and service works.

The role is predominantly night work and will involve working both independently and alongside other technicians depending on the requirements of each job. You will be responsible for completing allocated works safely and to a high standard, identifying and communicating site issues, and assisting other members of the team when required.

About you

Previous experience installing and working with CCTV and electronic security systems.

Experience with data cabling, terminations and general communications wiring.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Ability to confidently complete allocated work independently.

Qualifications

• Current Electrical Licence or Security Installer Licence (Mandatory).
• Current EWP / Scissor Lift ticket (Mandatory).
• Current White Card. (Mandatory).

• Comfortable working predominantly night shifts.
• Willing and able to travel to regional locations when required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to manage your responsibilities without constant supervision.
• Professional when dealing with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
