Job summary

Torus Group is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to lead Café Recharge at FireFit Youth & Community Hub in Liverpool. You will manage the daily operation, guide the café team and design nutritious menus for service users, community customers and commercial bookings.

Focus on food safety, safeguarding and high customer service standards while building strong supplier relationships and managing budgets to deliver value for money.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Catering or hospitality qualification and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in catering management with strong food safety knowledge.
• Experience managing budgets and stock control.
• Ability to design inclusive menus meeting dietary needs.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Willingness to work one evening fortnightly and one Saturday per month.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management and delivery of Café Recharge with a high-quality, customer-focused service.
• Manage, support and develop the café team, including staff rotas, performance management, one-to-ones and meetings.
• Plan and oversee catering for Café Recharge, commercial bookings and events within resources, staffing and budgets.
• Create nutritious, balanced and inclusive menus for service users, community customers and commercial clients.
• Manage the catering budget, stock control systems and purchasing processes for value for money.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and external providers.
• Prepare and supervise the preparation of food and beverages for Café Recharge and events.
• Support FireFit's youth programme by providing food and activities for young people with the Youth Team.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safeguarding, health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.
• Monitor performance and support the sustainability and success of Café Recharge within the FireFit Hub.
