Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Catering Supervisor to manage rotas, allocate work to catering assistants and coordinate staffing during shortages. You will liaise with management to ensure continuous service, prioritise urgent requests and authorise overtime within budget.

• Rotas managed and catering assistants allocated; liaise with management to ensure continued service during staff shortages; authorise overtime within budget.
• Staff training on basic job skills, plus health and safety training including COSHH and toolbox talks; ensure mandatory training is completed and maintain related records.
• Toolbox training documentation and records; participate in development of toolbox training sheets.
• Carry out staff appraisals; monitor health and safety compliance; address performance issues with management.
• Maintain hygiene standards per HACCP policy; ensure documentation is completed and departments audit procedures are adhered to.
• Basic food preparation; control portion sizes and presentation.
• Handle customer complaints with management; document relevant actions; visit patients to discuss complaints and dietary needs.
• Develop department practices; propose changes to working practices; report structural/mechanical defects requiring repair.
• Supervise cleanliness of allocated areas and associated equipment; promote sales in retail outlets.
• Ensure compliance with HASAWA and health and safety welfare; report incidents and ensure PPE usage; staff safety documentation.
