Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Catering Supervisor to lead catering staff and allocate duties during shifts Thursday to Sunday, 14:30–20:30. The role emphasises HACCP, temperature control, and staff training within a hospital catering service.

You will implement changes, supervise service and cleaning, and perform staff appraisals while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be prepared to study for Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate and NVQ3.
• Experience supervising catering staff in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rotas are covered and work is allocated to catering assistants.
• Provide staff training and supervision.
• Maintain hygiene and food handling standards in line with HACCP policy.
• Oversee stock control and ordering within budget.
• Carry out staff appraisals and manage performance issues.
• Address customer complaints and feedback with management.
• Promote compliance with health and safety policies.
