Catering Assistant – Maranatha Lodge – Batehaven

Location: Batehaven, Calton Road, Batehaven, NSW 2536, Australia.

Casual position / PPT shifts. Pay rate: $31.70 + Super + Shift Loading + Casual Loading.

As a member of the Catering team at Maranatha, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

About the Role

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required.
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit.
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures.

What you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people.
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families.
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain.
