Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Mona Vale is seeking a caring Catering team member to provide resident meal service, assist with meal preparation, and deliver a high-quality dining experience that supports residents’ well-being.

This permanent part-time role involves Friday PM, Saturday AM & Sunday PM shifts, a focus on food safety and teamwork, and a supportive not-for-profit culture that values dignity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Heart for providing high quality care to the elderly.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with residents and families.
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain.

About The Role

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
