Cater Care Group in Hamilton is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to join our aged care team. In this hands-on role you’ll help prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring residents receive meals with care, dignity and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen hand, catering assistant or hospitality role.
• Desirable experience in aged care, healthcare or contract catering environments.
• Ability to follow procedures, work efficiently and manage competing priorities.
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• A caring and respectful approach when working with older people.
• Current year influenza vaccination and willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and meal service.
• Preparing and presenting texture-modified meals in line with residents' dietary requirements.
• Providing friendly and attentive service to residents and staff.
• Maintaining clean, organised and safe kitchen and dining areas.
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure meals are delivered on time and to a high standard.
