Job summary

Catering Industries Pty Ltd in Cootamundra, NSW is seeking Catering Assistants to join the vibrant kitchen team at an aged care facility. You will provide meal service to elderly residents, support chefs, and help maintain a clean and organized kitchen.

Flexibility to work across mornings and afternoons with weekend and public holiday loadings; the role offers a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive training through our experienced management team.

Qualifications

• Aged care experience is desirable, but not required.
• Reliable, punctual and able to multitask.
• Empathy and respect towards residents, staff and clients.
• Ability to support the chefs and team in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Providing meal service to elderly residents.
• Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up.
• Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
• Washing dishes and plating of meals
• Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
• Function set up and clear down
• Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks
• Food and beverage service

About the role

We’re looking for enthusiastic Catering Assistants to become part of the vibrant kitchen team at our client’s aged care facility in Cootamundra, NSW. If you’re passionate about great food and love making a difference in the daily lives of older Australians, this is the role for you!

This roster is ideal for candidates who enjoy variety, stability, and a well‑structured work pattern.

Roster & Pay

• Roster: Morning and afternoon shifts across Monday to Sunday.
• Flexible roster: Enjoy flexible weekly hours, plus weekend and Public Holiday loadings.
• Competitive pay: $27.08/hr + casual loading ($33.85/hr Mon–Fri for casual role)

What You’ll Need

• A current Federal Police Check (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this role.

Skills and experience

• Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary.
• Reliable and punctual
