Job summary

Cater Care is seeking two Catering Assistants / Kitchen Hands to join our team at ThomasHolt, Kirrawee Aged Care. You will help deliver exceptional service by handling dishwashing, cleaning, and hygiene across kitchen and dining areas.

Ideal candidates will have prior kitchen experience, the ability to work both independently and within a team, and pride in appearance. Retirement living experience is advantageous; rosters include evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in kitchens and supporting daily kitchen operations.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Pride in personal appearance and hygiene.
• Experience in retirement living or age care is a plus.

Responsibilities

Roster:

Monday - Sunday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

What This Role Involves:

• Wash kitchenware using commercial dishwashers or manual methods.
• Clean and sanitize food prep areas, benchtops, and cooking equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety across kitchen and service floors.
• Dispose of waste and recycling, ensuring hazard-free work zones.
• Adaptable and versatile team player with a proactive, can-do approach

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience assisting in kitchens, and contributing to efficient daily kitchen operations
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
• Previous experience in retirement living / age care sector would be well regarded
