Job summary

Fresh Hope Communities operates a Residential Care Service in Coffs Harbour and is seeking a Catering Assistant. You will support residents at mealtimes, prepare meals, assist with kitchen duties, and deliver a home-like dining experience.

Uniforms are provided and salary packaging options may be available to enhance take-home pay. Ideal candidates will have hospitality or care experience, be warm and communicative, and capable of working closely with residents and team members in a supportive

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and drinks for residents.
• Distribute meals to residents and assist the chef with meal prep, cleaning and kitchen duties.
• Provide dining room service and support residents during mealtimes.

You can support this individualized care model by:

• Ensuring food is provided to residents at their chosen mealtime
• Provide a varied and nutritional food service, which meets the needs of the aged residents within the residential aged care setting.
• Provide excellent personalised service to our residents.
• Prepare meals and drinks.
• Distribute meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
• Dining room services.

What You Bring

• Youbring experience in hospitality or care services, ideally withinresidential aged care, qualifications a plus
• You’rewarm, approachable and communicate clearly with residents and team members
• You’recomfortable using IT systems and open to learning new tools
• Youwork well in a team and always put residents at the centre of what you do
• You’rephysically capable of handling a hands-on role and ready to pitch in whereneeded
• Youhold (or are willing to obtain) a current National Criminal History Checksuitable for aged care
