Job summary

RSL LifeCare Australia in Condobolin is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our aged care residents with warm, quality meals and friendly service.

You will work with the Head Chef and team to prepare meals, serve residents, keep the kitchen clean, and maintain Food Safety standards while building a supportive, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality is beneficial but not required.
• Demonstrated compassion and empathy for residents and families.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality catering services for residents and visitors.
• Maintain Food Safety Standards and a clean, hygienic kitchen.
• Dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and dining area maintenance.
• Serve meals with attention to dietary needs and preferences.

About the role

• Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors
• Comply with Food Safety Standards
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work environment; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents, their families and visitors
• Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs
• Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience

Qualifications in catering and hospitality or related work experience are beneficial but not essential. We can help you learn and develop in the role.

Australian Working Rights

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
