Join the Casterton Memorial Hospital Catering Team, where you'll contribute to the delivery of safe, nutritious meals and high-quality food services that support the health, wellbeing, and recovery of patients and residents.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is looking to build or further develop their experience within a healthcare food services environment. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to help you succeed in delivering safe, efficient, and person-centred services.
As part of our dedicated Catering Team, you'll support the delivery of quality food services through:
Assist with the preparation, plating, and serving of meals while ensuring presentation, quality, and dietary requirements are met for patients, residents, and consumers.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and infection prevention by adhering to organisational policies, food safety procedures, and relevant legislation while accurately completing required documentation and checklists.
Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by assisting with cleaning duties throughout kitchen and food service areas and following correct chemical handling procedures and safety requirements.
Provide respectful, person-centred service that supports the dignity, safety, comfort, and wellbeing of patients, residents, visitors, and community members.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams while contributing positively to a supportive and respectful workplace culture.
Participate in training programs, including food safety and chemical handling education, while contributing to service improvements and maintaining best practice standards.
