Job summary

Fairview in Sydney is seeking a Category Manager to lead the strategic direction, growth and profitability of key façade and cladding product categories. You will work with Sales and suppliers to shape category strategy.

The role combines commercial strategy, product development and market analysis, with cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, R&D, and Operations. The ideal candidate has category management experience and a proven track record in delivering results.

The Role

This role is responsible for

• Strategic ownership of product categories, driving product profitability and growth while working closely with Sales to achieve business objectives.
• Setting the long-term vision and strategy for products by understanding the product, competitors, customers and market.
• Managing product roadmaps, improvements, testing, compliance and certification requirements.
• Working across the business to facilitate completion of tasks with representatives from Sales, Marketing, R&D, Commercial and Operations.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support sourcing, quality and continuity of supply.
• Providing product technical support and training for Sales, Operations and other business units as required.
• Data-led and insight-driven decision making.
