The Opportunity

You will work alongside experienced project and construction leaders delivering significant commercial façade packages across Melbourne.

This is not a purely administrative project role.

We want someone who wants to understand the whole project — design, procurement, manufacturing, programme, labour, installation, commercial performance and client relationships.

You will be given responsibility, supported by experienced people and progressively exposed to larger and more complex projects as your capability develops.

The Role

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with and progressively taking ownership of commercial façade projects.
• Coordinating design, shop drawings, engineering and technical approvals.
• Working closely with site teams to understand installation sequencing and programme requirements.
• Tracking project programmes, milestones and upcoming deliverables.
• Coordinating procurement, materials, manufacturing and deliveries.
• Assisting with labour planning and forward resource requirements.
• Managing RFIs, variations and project documentation.
• Monitoring project costs and developing your understanding of forecasting and commercial performance.
• Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attending builder and consultant meetings.
• Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants and internal teams.
• Supporting project QA/QC and safety requirements.
• Identifying project risks and raising issues early.
• Working with senior project staff to resolve technical, programme and site issues.
• Taking increasing ownership of project outcomes as your experience develops.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with approximately 3-7 years' experience within façades, commercial construction or a closely related specialist subcontracting environment.

Façade experience would be strongly preferred.

You may have developed your experience through site management, project coordination, design, contracts administration or project management.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is hungry to learn and ready for greater responsibility.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in commercial façades, curtain wall, glazing or architectural cladding.
• An understanding of construction drawings and façade details.
• Good technical and problem-solving ability.
• Exposure to design and shop drawing coordination.
• Understanding of construction programmes and site sequencing.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Confidence dealing with builders, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Some exposure to project costs, variations and commercial management.
• A practical understanding of site delivery.
• The ability to identify problems and follow them through to resolution.
• A willingness to take ownership rather than wait to be directed.
• The ambition to develop into a senior project leader.

Qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline would be highly regarded but are not essential where strong industry experience can be demonstrated.
