Drive Strategic Procurement Outcomes That Shape the Future of Aviation

Airport Development Group (ADG) is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Category Manager to join our Procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting major operational and capital investment programs across our airports, delivering value through category management, strategic sourcing, supplier performance and commercial excellence.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, Delivery Managers and external delivery partners, you will develop and execute category strategies that optimise spend, manage risk, improve supplier performance and support long-term business objectives.

About The Role

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing assigned spend categories and delivering end-to-end procurement and commercial outcomes. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders while ensuring procurement activities align with ADG's governance, safety, environmental and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Developing and implementing category strategies and sourcing roadmaps
• Conducting spend analysis, market assessments and procurement planning
• Leading strategic sourcing activities including RFQs, RFPs, RFTs and negotiations
• Managing supplier performance, governance and relationship programs
• Supporting contract development, negotiation, implementation and performance management
• Providing procurement and commercial advice to operational and project teams
• Supporting major capital projects and procurement governance requirements
• Identifying opportunities for cost optimisation, risk mitigation and continuous improvement
• Monitoring procurement compliance, supplier risk and contract performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, commercial management or capital project procurement
• Proven experience developing category strategies and delivering complex sourcing initiatives
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and stakeholder management capability
• Experience managing supplier performance and contract governance frameworks
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business outcomes
• Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Eligibility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and successfully complete an Australian Federal Police check

Desirable Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:

• Aviation, infrastructure, construction, facilities management, utilities or other asset-intensive industries
• Major capital works or infrastructure programs
• ERP and procurement systems such as Infor CloudSuite or similar platforms
• Professional procurement qualifications such as CIPS or equivalent accreditation
