Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW is seeking casual Warehouse Production Hand(s) in Rutherford, NSW to support the Return and Earn bottle recycling facility. You will operate bulk sorting equipment, use a forklift, and manage POS transactions with attention to detail and integrity.

The role requires strong customer service, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to safety. On‑the‑job training and a Desirable forklift licence are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Experience using forklifts and a current valid forklift licence.
• Experience in a warehouse and/or production environment.
• Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Thorough understanding of WHS requirements in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers.
• Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers.
• Operate point of sale system for sales and refunds with accurate transactions.
• Assist in housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, and reporting faults.
