Job summary

The St Vincent de Paul Society (NSW) is hiring casual Warehouse Production Hand for the Dubbo site. This role involves receiving recyclable containers, operating a semi-automated sorting machine, and handling POS transactions with accuracy and integrity.

On-the-job training is provided, and forklift experience is desirable for efficiency in bin handling. Applicants should have strong communication, team collaboration, and a solid work ethic to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence.
• Experience working within a warehouse and/or production environment.
• Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently.
• Thorough understanding of work, health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers.
• Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers.
• Operate point of sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions.
• Assist in other activities i.e. housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.
