Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW is hiring a Warehouse Production Hand for the Return and Earn bottle recycling facility in Maitland. This casual role involves receiving containers, operating a semi-automated sorting machine, and troubleshooting equipment when needed.

You will also process sales/refunds using a POS system and work as part of a fast-paced team. On-the-job training will be provided; a current forklift licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and outstanding customer service.
• Current Forklift Licence preferred.
• Experience in warehouse/production environments.
• Able to perform manual/physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers.
• Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers.
• Operate point of sale system for accurate sales and refunds.
• Assist in other activities such as housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
