Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW in Tamworth, NSW is seeking casual Warehouse Team Members to operate recycling equipment and assist with sorting and handling recyclable containers. The role includes on-the-job training, forklift use, and a focus on customer service within a busy warehouse.

You will work as a Machine Operator on a casual basis, handling semi-automated sorting equipment, and collaborating with team members in a fast-paced environment. Forklift licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in warehouse or production environments.
• Ability to perform manual/physical tasks and work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for bulk sorting of recyclables.
• Use forklift to move sorted containers into bins.
• Operate point of sale system for sales and refunds.
• Assist with housekeeping and maintenance of warehouse equipment and report faults.
