Job summary

The Return and Earn bottle recycling facility in Dubbo is looking for casual team members to join a hands-on role handling recyclable containers, sorting with a semi-automated machine, and processing sales/refunds via a POS system. Training will be provided; forklift licence is desirable.

Applicants should have strong customer service, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be prepared to work on their feet. Prior warehouse/production experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence.
• Experience working within a warehouse and/or production environment.
• Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently.
• Thorough understanding of work, health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers.
• Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers.
• Operate point of sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions.
• Assist in other activities i.e. housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.
