Job summary

Astute Living Care Pty is seeking compassionate Mental Health Support Workers to provide person-centred, recovery-focused support to participants across Blacktown, Parramatta, Inner West, Liverpool, Sydney CBD and Wollongong.

This casual role requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with responsibilities spanning daily living support, community engagement, and documentation in line with NDIS requirements.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or equivalent industry experience in mental health, psychosocial disability, or community support.
• Experience supporting people with mental health challenges and complex behaviours.
• Ability to support personal care and daily living tasks with strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, practical, and recovery-oriented support to people living with psychosocial disability.
• Assist daily living activities, including personal care, meals, household tasks, and routine building.
• Help participants engage with the community, appointments, and personal goals.
• Implement individual support plans with participants, families, and care teams.
• Maintain documentation and incident reporting per organisational and NDIS requirements.
• Promote dignity, choice, independence, and social inclusion.
• Collaborate with allied health professionals, coordinators, families and stakeholders.
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, strengths-based environment.
• Engage in ongoing development and reflective practice.
