Job summary

GMHBA Limited in Geelong is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our patient-centred team on a permanent part-time basis. You will deliver high-quality care, support patient health, and work closely with GPs and our practice team.

You’ll triage, perform holistic health checks, manage chronic conditions, and support clinical systems while contributing to accreditation and quality improvement initiatives. The role offers flexible hours and a supportive, not-for-profit workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration (Div 1 Nurse).
• Clinical competence and working within scope of practice.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage and clinical assessment of patients.
• Holistic health checks, screening, and preventative care.
• Chronic disease management, wound care, minor procedures, and vaccinations.
• Diagnostic services (ECGs, INR, glucose monitoring).
• Manage recalls and reminders, health promotion, and patient education.
• Ordering, stock rotation, and maintenance of clinical systems.
• Support practice accreditation, clinical risk systems, and compliance with WHS, infection control, and cold-chain standards.
• Collaborate with GPs, allied health, nurses, and admin staff.
• Participate in team meetings, quality improvement, and professional development.

Who We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Further education in nursing
• Membership of a professional body (e.g. APNA)
