Qualifications

• Ideally 1 year of dental reception experience.
• Dental assisting or clinical support background is highly regarded.
• Confident using practice management software, ideally Exact.
• Australian or New Zealand citizen; Hep B immunisation required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and professionally to create a positive first impression.
• Answer calls and emails and respond to general enquiries.
• Manage the appointment book, including scheduling, confirming and rescheduling bookings.
• Process payments, health fund claims and patient records accurately and with attention to detail.
• Uphold patient privacy and keep front office operations running smoothly.
• Work closely with dentists and dental assistants to keep the daily schedule on track.
• Assist with instrument cleaning, packing and sterilisation in line with clinic protocols.
• Keep accurate sterilisation records and support infection‑control compliance.
• Prepare treatment rooms and make sure equipment is clean, stocked and ready.
• Provide basic chairside support when needed, with a willingness to learn.
