Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a friendly, organised medical receptionist for a casual, front-facing role in Penrith. You will manage appointments, handle patient enquiries and assist the team to keep daily operations smooth.

The role requires previous medical reception experience, reliable transport, and a professional phone manner to interact with doctors and patients. Some weekend coverage may be needed, with shifts 7:45am–7:30pm.

Qualifications

• Previous medical reception experience is required.
• Own transport essential.
• Excellent presentation and phone manner.
• Understanding of Medicare billing procedures is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle appointment bookings and patient enquiries with care and professionalism.
• Ensure billing is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Familiarise with Medicare billing procedures.
• General administrative duties, including processing payments (EFTPOS) and managing correspondence.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, staff and patients.
• Provide administrative support to Doctors and management.
• Keep the medical practice clean and tidy at all times.
