Job summary

Chisholm Institute in Dandenong is seeking an experienced Lecturer in Business for our Higher Education team. You will plan teaching sessions and ensure materials meet regulatory standards while engaging learners.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in Business (AQF Level 8+) and, for business law units, qualifications in Law at AQF Level 8+. The position is casual with an hourly rate of AU$135.76–AU$173.99 plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business or related discipline at AQF Level 8 or above.
• For business law units, AQF Level 8 or above in Law or higher.

Responsibilities

• Plan education practices and delivery sessions to engage learners.
• Ensure teaching materials meet regulatory standards and training requirements.
• Establish and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt learning and assessment materials for diverse students and settings.
• Undertake administrative, coordination, and learning services activities related to the areas taught.
• Assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs.
• Maintain a respectful, and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.

About The Role

As a Lecturer, Business Higher Education, your key responsibilities include:

• Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners.
• Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements.
• Establish and maintain a positive learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning.
• Adapt learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities, and resources.
• Undertake a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught.
• Assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs.
• Maintain a respectful, and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.

About You

You are a highly motivated individual with well‑developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.

Qualifications Required For The Role

• Tertiary qualifications in Business or a related discipline at AQF Level 8 or above, or at a level at least one AQF level higher than the qualification being taught, whichever is greater.
• For business law units, tertiary qualifications in Law at AQF Level 8 or above, or at least one AQF level higher than the qualification being taught.
